In February 2009, the most recent month for which data is available, 186.5 foreclosures were recorded with the Sedgwick County Register of Deeds office. This represents a 2.9% decrease from the February 2008 figures. The foreclosure rate in February 2009 was 1.3 foreclosure per 1,000 mortgages filed over the prior five years, up slightly from the 1.2 figure of a year ago.
