Dr. Stanley D.
Longhofer
Stephen L. Clark Chair of Real Estate and Finance
Director, WSU Center for Real EstateDr. Longhofer is the Stephen
L. Clark Chair of Real Estate and Finance in the Barton School of Business at
Wichita State University and the founding director of the Center for Real
Estate. In this role, Dr. Longhofer authors the Center’s annual Wichita Housing
Market Forecast. Prior to coming to Wichita State, Dr. Longhofer spent five
years as a financial economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland
researching problems in mortgage discrimination, financial contracting, and
bankruptcy. While there, he also served as a founding member of the Federal
Reserve System's Fair Lending Advisory Group, consulting with bank examiners on
fair lending issues.
Dr. Longhofer's research has been published in several leading academic
journals, including Real Estate Economics, the Journal of Real Estate Finance
and Economics, and Financial Management. He is also highly sought after as an
expert on real estate markets, having been quoted over 100 times in recent years
by local and national media outlets. |
